The Lighthouse
Apr. 10, 2024
Born in Haiti, Saintanne Tipton grew up in an orphanage, where she lived until she was adopted. It was truly by God’s providence that a man named Thomas Tipton came to Haiti and visited the orphanage where she lived. Because of his generosity she is here today and grateful to God for saving her and giving her a chance for a better life. This is the same opportunity that she now desires to make available for the homeless children of Haiti. She is the President/CEO of The Lighthouse, a nonprofit charitable organization that is a symbol of safety, guidance, and a beacon of light in the darkness for the neediest children in Haiti. It will be a place that helps to develop and empower homeless children, offering them a strong foundation by providing a healthy and safe environment for the best chance in life possible. The goal will be to help them be self-sufficient and become free-thinkers, by offering unbiased education, so they can make their own choices and find purpose for their lives. Saintanne holds a degree in Elementary Education and an Associate Degree in Theology. Currently, she is the Assistant Director for Studio 4 Enterprises, a subsidiary management company for the High School for Recording Arts, since 2003. Also she is the Chairperson for Mission Outreach Ministry at Faith Tabernacle Gospel Fellowship International Church. She actively volunteers in the community and with Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization. She formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Christian Operation for Health Education and Development, (COFHED). |
